bleeding hearts

a loss loss match of snooker
starts and a game gets rolling
the Cue of causation strikes
colorful sentiments crash
till a ball of tears sinks
into grief's waiting pocket
the eyes' secret treasure box
hides these pearls of emotion
they become glittering dew drops
this jewellery on blossoms of pain
just how the bleeding hearts bloom!..

  1. The game of life played in dark places can yield magnificence. What a mystery. Thanks for this.

  2. Love the connection with the idea of "game of life". Quite a dramatic piece!

  3. Your words and poems are just magic!

I was not at all inspired with the prompt this week.

  4. Your crafting of this piece is so well done. I adore the lines of 'pearls of emotion' - the entire image is indeed a jewel.

  5. What a wonderful comparison of life as a game. The "ball of tears sinks into grief's waiting pocket" is terrific.

  6. wow, so complex and full of images. It is causing me to read and re-read, yet there still is more for me here.

  7. 'till a ball of tears sinks into grief's waiting pocket'... it is always
    waiting, isn't it?
