blowing the curve.osi

' ECG '

an arc , a line and a dot
build a question mark ,
to understand curves
see how the river flows ,
find that the clock is still
but the pendulum swings ,
trapezing through dawn and dusk
light and shade boomerang ,
watch the skyscraping neons
stabbing the night with purple
with fluorescent blues ,
like spectral cardiograms,
like jagged price indices
shadowing the passers by ,
who turn and twist and bend
negotiating the curve
of the cost of living ..

original / z.g.

[ Ed : Line 4 - flow like the river ]

  1. A wonderfully worded description. Some great phrases: spectral cardiograms, jagged price indices, trapezing through dawn and dusk, and more! Smooth read.

  4. zoya--
I tried to leave a comment early this morning but your site 'wasn't accepting callers'...

I really enjoyed the swing of the curve here--and felt the lurch of those trying to negotiate the curve of the price of living. Vertigo.

Thanks--you are a beautiful writer. When are you going to publish something? Or have you and you're being coy?

You're blog is now one of the few with a shortcut to my desktop. Just thought I'd tell you!

    Thank you--

  5. The title says it all. Self contained, elliptical, what can be more perfect that an egg? Were we to trace it’s beauty would we feel complete?
Full of depth and tenderness! I love reading your poems!

Love the vibrant nocturnal imagery and the elemental question buried in the frenzy.
