ocean.osi

yo también espero
( i also hope )

ocean to ocean
palindromical tides
on this shore of nescience
i crush my tibia fibula
build the keel and the hull
with a drop of my blood
draw one heart
on this paper-boat
sailing into the unknown
only to sink and drown
become the ocean
for that moment of trance
when you hear me in the wave ..

/ original / z.g.

[ Ed : Line 2 - the meaning too , a palindrome ]

  1. When you hear me in the wave...what a powerful ending that brings you full circle from the first line. Beautiful and visual!

  3. How wonderful to be...ocean to ocean and leave our drop of blood into the ocean.

I could hear the (wave) in your ocean poem...tender and strong.

  4. first of all, thank you so much for the wonderful new word -- nescience. What a useful word for a college professor to have! Knowing the word now, I really love that phrase "shore of nescience." Very powerful, evoking such strong emotion that one would crush one's bones to build a boat.

  14. Those unusual key words ~ palindromical" and "nescience" magnetise with their sound, just like that trance-like feeling of becoming one with the ocean ~ drifting rhythms! The sounds and the images are quite hypnotic!
